How information is handled
Privacy Notice
Version: privacy-2026-07-13 · Last updated July 13, 2026
Plain-language summary: We collect what is needed to run accounts, games, safety, support, and optional communications. Marketing is a separate choice. We do not sell personal information.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: email address, screen name, avatar, authentication identifiers, verification status, consent choices, and account dates. Our authentication provider processes password credentials; Five & Three does not store your readable password.
- Game and community activity: games, bids, scores, rankings, achievements, tournaments, friends, table invitations, chat, reports, moderation actions, and fair-play events.
- Support and beta feedback: messages, bug reports, suggestions, attachments you choose to provide, and resolution history.
- Technical and security data: browser and device details, approximate network information, timestamps, logs, anti-bot results, session and abuse signals, and error diagnostics.
- Billing data: plan, subscription status, payment provider customer and transaction references. The payment provider processes full card details.
2. Why we use it
We use information to create and secure accounts; operate and synchronize games; calculate rankings and achievements; run tournaments; provide support; enforce fair play and community rules; prevent fraud, spam, bots, and security incidents; maintain records of consent; improve the service; meet legal obligations; and send essential account messages. We send optional news, tournament announcements, or tips only when you make a separate marketing choice, and every such email will provide an unsubscribe method.
3. Service providers
We use specialist providers to operate the service, including hosting and real-time infrastructure, authentication and database services, transactional email delivery, payment processing, and anti-bot protection. These providers process information on our instructions and under their own contractual and legal safeguards. Some processing may occur outside the place where you live.
4. When information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We share it with service providers as needed to operate the service; with other players according to product features (for example, screen name, avatar, game activity, rankings, and chat); when you direct us to share it; to investigate abuse or protect rights and safety; during a legitimate business reorganization subject to appropriate protection; or when law requires it.
5. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above. Account and game records generally remain while an account is active. Security, moderation, transaction, consent, and dispute records may be kept longer where needed to prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, or establish legal claims. Backups expire on their normal cycle. We will document more specific retention periods before the paid public launch.
6. Your choices and rights
You can update available profile fields, unsubscribe from optional marketing without losing essential service emails, and ask to access or correct personal information. Signed-in non-staff players can permanently delete their account from Settings. Deletion removes the verified sign-in, profile, messages, friendships, support conversations, and beta reservation. Completed-game and competition integrity records may remain only as an anonymous “Deleted Player” record, and limited security, billing, legal, or dispute records may be retained where required. Depending on where you live, additional rights may apply.
7. Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, restricted server credentials, signed payment events, abuse limits, anti-bot tools, backups, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure. Do not send passwords or verification codes through chat or Support.
8. Changes and contact
We will post the version and date when this Notice changes and will seek renewed consent if required. Use the in-app Support or “Message the administrator” feature for privacy questions or requests, or email privacy@play5and3.com.
